Welcome to Advanced Polymer Monitoring Technologies, Inc.
APMT was founded in 2012 as a spin-off from the Tulane University Center for Polymer Reaction monitoring and Characterization (PolyRMC). The Company is an innovative start-up providing customized online monitoring solutions for all types of polymer producers seeking to optimize their manufacturing processes and improve product quality. The basis for APMT's products and services are a portfolio of Tulane University patents which were invented by Prof. Wayne Reed, Director of PolyRMC, and developed by Prof. Reed and the other founders of APMT while at PolyRMC.
Our core technologies are in the field of polymer characterization. They include Automatic Continuous Online Monitoring of Polymerization reactions (ACOMP) which is used to monitor polymerization reactions in real-time leading to tighter control over reactions and increased efficiency in manufacturing, and Simultaneous Multiple Sample Light Scattering (SMSLS), a high throughput light scattering technology with applications in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and natural polymer products sectors (e.g. therapeutic proteins and guars, gelatins, gums used in food and personal care).
